R&R Blackwell and Associates is a
self-publishing venture established in 2005,
featuring the works of poet Robert
E. Blackwell,
"The Ten-Digit Poet.".
I first began writing poetry during the late 1970s while a high school junior. My interest became a passion during the mid-1980s, and after a quiet decade, that passion fanned into flame in late 2002. My original style was originally confined to mixed metrical poetry involving four-line stanzas comprised of ten syllables per line. Inspired by the work of Amiri Baraka, I began to explore free verse poetry in 2004 and have since adopted it as a primary style. I still like to turn a sonnet now and then in true ten-digit fashion, as well as write simpler metrical poetry.
